Vicki Crossley is strategic lead for Society and Global Security. She moved into this post in July 2016, having previously spent much of her ESRC career working in the areas of evaluation, impact and strategy. Her current responsibilities include developing the ESRC's work around Public Services, and representing the Council on the Governing Board of the Joint Programming Initiative: Urban Europe.
Vicki has oversight of a broad range of initiatives within the Society and Global Security team including Cities, Migration, Governance and Constitutional Change. Vicki is also the ESRC lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the nominated liaison for the Universities of Bristol and Cardiff.
Vicki holds a degree in Politics and Sociology from the University of Bristol, and she undertook postgraduate research in European politics at the same institution, focusing on post-communist environmental politics in the former Czechoslovakia.
