Marie McHugh is Professor of Organisational Behaviour at Ulster University where she was previously Dean of the Ulster University Business School (2009-2016). Her main research interests are work stress, organisational health and organisational change, publishing widely within these areas.
Marie is a member of the UK Council of the IoD, the REF 2021 Sub-Panel for Management and Business, and a British Academy of Management (BAM) Fellow. She has served on the CBI (NI) Council and has been Chair and President of BAM. She has a PhD from Ulster University (1997), an MSc in Occupational Psychology (1985) and a BA in Psychology (1983) from Queen’s University.
In the 2020 New Years Honours, Marie was awarded an OBE for Services to Higher Education and Business Development.
