The ESRC Festival of Social Science is an annual, UK-wide, free celebration of the social sciences.
The 2021 Festival will run 1-30 November, with a number of our events themed around social science and the environment, to reflect the COP26 climate change conference taking place 31 October-12 November. We’ll also be covering a huge range of other topics such as the social and economic effects of the pandemic. We are expecting over 300 public and youth events, with a mixture of online, in-person and hybrid formats.
Events are delivered via ESRC’s 34 partners – higher education institutions spread across the UK. Details of Festival events and how to book will be available on the ESRC Festival of Social Science website from late September, and events will be promoted on Twitter using the #ESRCFestival hashtag.
In the meantime, you can find a full list of our festival partners on our About the Festival page.
