Jayanthi Ezekiel

Jayanthi is an experienced policy professional and economist with extensive experience of commissioning and carrying out social research in the public and private sectors in order to develop policy, particularly where the evidence bases are nebulous. 

Recent work includes understanding the value of data, consumer trust, and the impact of online harms. Jayanthi also has deep expertise in competition and regulatory policy, with a particular focus on digital infrastructure. 

Jayanthi has worked with the third sector through Pro Bono Economics as well as developing the economic case for stabilising the charity sector as part of the COVID response. Jayanthi currently works at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and previously worked in consulting. She has degrees in Economics from University College London and the University of Exeter.
