We are pleased to invite applications for the continuation of the British Election Study. A maximum of £2 million (100% fEC) is available for up to 60 months of funding for one grant to continue this study of national political behaviour and attitudes before, during, and after the next British General Election, which is scheduled to take place on 5 May 2022. This call is open to all eligible UK research organisations.
We welcome proposals that balance continuity (with previous British Election Studies) and innovation (in relation to contemporary political issues and evolving technological contexts). Funding will support consultation with the academic and user communities, specifying and overseeing the collection and deposit of appropriate data, and promotion of the potential wider impact of research using British Election Study data.
The closing date for proposals in 16:00 on 13 November 2018. It is expected that the grant will start by 1 April 2019 at the latest in order to ensure continuous funding of the British Election Study since its launch in 1964.
