Social science research plays a vital role in our society. From big ideas to the most detailed observations, social science affects us all every day - at work, in school or college and within our communities. Social science makes our lives better - it helps society to become enriched, healthier, more resilient and sustainable.
The Better Lives competition, aimed at 14-18 year olds, is an opportunity to be creative using photography to explore the relevance of social science to society. We all want better lives and for 2018-19 the challenge is to take a photograph to show what this means to you. What brings quality to our lives? Is it better education, health and wellbeing, relationships, more money, or a safer, sustainable environment?
Enter by 7 December 2018 for a chance to have your photograph exhibited in a London gallery, plus prizes for you and your school or youth organisation.
