Photographic competition

Better Lives

Social science research plays a vital role in our society. From big ideas to the most detailed observations, social science affects us all every day - at work, in school or college and within our communities. Social science makes our lives better - it helps society to become enriched, healthier, more resilient and sustainable.

The Better Lives competition, was aimed at 14-18 year olds. It provided an opportunity to be creative, using photography to explore the relevance of social science to society.

Entry is now closed. All prize winners and those whose photograph will be exhibited, have been notified, along with their school or youth organisation. Details of winners will be announced on 26 March 2019.
