Grants Assessment Panel (GAP) appointments
ESRC is inviting applications from academics suitably experienced in the social sciences to act as members of our Grant Assessment Panels (GAPs).
Panel membership is drawn from all areas of the social sciences, representing a broad range of expertise, skills and approaches.
Research posts for ESRC centres, programmes and other projects are normally advertised by the institutions that hold the grants.
Posts are also often advertised in the Times Higher Education supplement and the Guardian, and on jobs.ac.uk.
We support large-scale interdisciplinary research programmes that are each made up of 20-25 individual projects. These are based at a number of UK Higher Education Institutions.
Programme directors provide overall management, intellectual leadership and academic coherence to these distributed projects. Programme directors are normally appointed on a part-time basis based at an eligible research organisation.
The posts are normally advertised in the Times Higher Education supplement and in the Guardian.
